The Lazar and Skinwalker documentaries
Corbell’s 2018 documentary Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers renewed attention to Lazar’s account of reverse-engineering a craft near Area 51. Hunt for the Skinwalker drew on the book by George Knapp and Colm Kelleher about reported events at the Utah ranch. Publishing military UFO imagery
Corbell also became known for releasing and publicizing imagery associated with military encounters. In 2021, he circulated night-vision footage in which lights appeared triangular, often described in public discussion as a pyramid video. That material later appeared in a congressional hearing. The sequence illustrates his role as a publisher bringing an image into public debate, rather than the original camera operator. Establishing that footage was recorded by military personnel answers a question about its provenance; it does not automatically identify the object or explain its apparent shape.

What the 2022 hearing clarified
At the May 17, 2022 hearing, Deputy Director of Naval Intelligence Scott Bray discussed the triangular imagery alongside a similar observation from another location. He said analysts were reasonably confident the lights corresponded to unmanned aircraft, with the triangular appearance produced by the imaging setup involving night-vision goggles and a camera. Bray also emphasized that this explanation did not resolve every UAP case. His statement is a useful case-specific counterpoint to interpretations of the footage as showing the physical outline of an extraordinary craft.
